We are unapologetically progressive.
We believe that the Holy Spirit is calling us into new ways of coming together and being Church: ways that
are as radically inclusive and generous as Jesus taught us. While we root ourselves in the core teachings of
historic Methodism, we actively engage the insights of postmodern scholarship and wisdom.
We are experimental in worship, spirituality, and in how we are organized.
We celebrate the great 'both/and'. Following the teaching and example of John Wesley, we embrace both Protestant insights and the Catholic tradition, embracing all the worthy parts of the great Christian teaching. We actively explore the whole 2000 years of tradition, ancient and modern, as a means to further our journeys in the Good News.
We are Sacramental. All Creation is holy ground. Everything reveals our Creator, who is in all things. So all of Creation is able to be sacramental for us, revealing God's grace. And in Jesus the Christ we find a singular sacrament of God. We embrace the traditional Sacraments of the Church, and know that these do not exhaust the possibility of the Presence of the Living Christ among us.
Every person is welcome to join us, regardless of the labels society uses to divide us (age, ethnicity, physical ability, gender, social class, sexuality, marital status, financial condition, and so on). We seek, as Quaker founder George Fox so beautifully put it, "that of God in everyone".
