Welcome!

The New Methodist Conference was founded on 1 May 2005 by our two bishops to be an Oasis for Exiles from mainline denominational bodies, and for other non-traditional Christians and earnest seekers. Rev. Rob Angus Jones and Rev. Deborah Giordano remain committed to the healing message of Good News that John Wesley preached tirelessly over 200 years ago.

We stand with the great Reformer John Wesley and historic Methodism and proclaim:

  • God loves all, redeems all, invites all, and saves all who will accept God's invitation.
  • All humanity shares in God's great love -- a love of all Creation that plays no favorites.
  • Salvation is assured, not because we can't lose it, but because we can keep it.
  • Temptation and sin are ever with us, but closer still is the prodigal love and help of God.
  • Salvation demands our effort to embrace it and follow the path, however many times we stray.

We are inclusive, affirming, and welcoming.

Your gender, sexuality, age, ethnicity, physical ability, social standing or financial conditions are facts of our shared humanity. They add to our diversity and our understanding. We seek, as Quaker founder George Fox so beautifully put it, "that of God in everyone". We welcome your participation, whoever you are!
