Intercommunion with the NMC
We believe deeply that all who seek to know the Christ in their lives are already one body in the Christ, already sharing in one communion at this great Table. We will not turn anyone away whom God has called to the Feast.
Our experience of Christ's redeeming and inclusive love convinces us that "intercommunion" agreements are unnecessary. Although well-intentioned, such agreements can build up the same walls of exclusivity and specialness that they seek to tear down.
For us, the Lord's Supper, the Eucharist is a foretaste of the great banquet of God's Kin-dom. This celebration invites us to discover God's abundance, generosity, and longing for a human community without barriers and boundaries. We are called to make life "on earth, as it is in heaven".
We work and live prayerfully to bring a small portion of this world closer to the joy and fullness of God's Kin-dom. And we welcome you to join with us in this great calling!
